Wow... I mean wow. Aside from the trucks not really being maintained, I love what I am doing. I thought I had it made in the shade with Creative Logistics, but Comtrak has really treated me great. I, for the most part, get to start early, meaning I get home around 2-5 in the evening, and I get to run pretty much the same stuff over and over. Bad thing is I think my turbo is going out or has gone out on my truck, 25000 is slowing me way down on a hill. They are supposed to do third party leasing, I have been trying to find out information about it, but the recruiter (also handles that) is kind of a douche bag. I walked in to get some info, "We don't have any and we aren't buying any." Direct quote. So for now, I am stuck with no info on that aspect. Benefits are decent, better than I was offered at Creative. Brad Young, the Terminal manager is young, but a great guy. My dispatcher works with me to get me the loads I want and keeps me with out a moments rest. I have been averaging around the 800 to 900 dollar bring home a week, so I am happy. Just thought I would share my feelings about this company.

Ok, might be strike one... but they shorted me my hourly pay and just paid me my mileage this week. Was kind of hacked off, so I call the terminal manager, the one that does the hours... he said that the hours were sent to payroll instead of him, so they didn't pay me for it. he would straighten it out on Monday and cut me a comcheck... I don't want a freaking comcheck... errrr..

How it works out for you. Sometimes we have to fight these companies for what is rightfully ours. In my opinion you should push the maintenance issue. Nobody wants to drive a POS it an unsafe truck.

Hey guys anyone know anything good about the Indy or Jacksonville terminals? Was looking at Comtrack as they have a terminal in both locations.. Can you transfer between terminals if you decide to move to a different city that has one? Just curious! Also how are there home daily positions and is their whole fleet Freightliners for the company drivers? Havr seen mixed reviews on this company. Any info would be greatly appreciated.. I already have two years intermodal exp..in the last 3 and half years. Thanks!

I believe so. I average around 1k a week before taxes. I am home everyday, but I am looking to get into a sleeper truck that way I can truly maximize my time.

I am not sure about those terminals, but I know that Nashville is kind of dinky, and Memphis is setup really nice. I guess you could if they have openings at the particular terminal. As for trucks, you pretty much get what they give you, i.e. I am driving a POS International daycab, I have a buddy that is in a columbia sleeper, and another that is in a volvo... most of the trucks have well over 500k miles on them and mostly closer to the 800k range. pay is weird, base of 10 per hour, and loades over 60 miles pay .17 /mile, less pays varied short pay. AS for myself, I typically run from nashville to Morgantown, KY, del, then to Owensboro, KY, p/u, then home. sleep, then to Marion, AR (Union Pacific) to del and p/u... then start over again. Averaging around 2500 miles a week in a day cab, mostly over 60 mile loads I put in around 55 - 60 hours a week.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
