I disagree. Being one of those you speak of, I come from a world where courtesy and decency are not only a matter of course, but indeed a matter of survival. It is not in my DNA to do these sorts of things and I do not understand those that do. Furthermore, I come from a generation where this kind of behavior was not encouraged.
You may wish to re-evaluate your preconceptions......then again, you may not.
Do pranksters/jerks actually pull the pin when the trucker isn't looking?

If any of you have ever been in the TA in Sparks, It is a very busy T/S. You pick a line and before you can change your mind, someone is behind you and you can't back up and go around. I can understand getting po'ed about what happened, but pulling the pin is just down right S###head thing to do to someone. who ever did it needed to get a good butt wooppin.

If you can figure out who belongs to the truck, fine. I call them out when I can. 9 times out of 10 they don't speak my language though, so it's pointless.wore out Thanks this.

I can't and won't argue with that. You have made a heckuva point.KC Guardrail Thanks this.

Let the truckstop staff know? If you can't find the offending driver, they can page them. If that doesn't work, they'll page a towing company.davetiow Thanks this. -
Keep dreaming.
I got parked in at the Aurora CO flying J. It took an hour for the guys to get done with showers and meals after the many pages. They would not call for the tow. -
You fall into the few of this group. I appreciate that your among the ones who have a good behavior.
As posted above. Their are more and more who don't speak the language. Have a poor outlook on the occupation due to lack of training. Not to mention training of any substance to assist them in getting their feet wet. Once away from the CDL truck school.
As an O/O I do seek out drivers who want to learn as well as survive in trucking.
As for tricks, a lot of us know way more than posted here. As for having them done to one or many of us. It does and on other occasions the person is caught. Or during their mayhem they get killed. (Example someone loosening chains on a load and load falls on said person thus becoming a dead mayhem person )
While on this blacktop highway you will see hundreds if not thousands of incidents during your career. Good luck driver.Ed G Thanks this. -
They won't tow them. All they do is make the stupid page about drivers move your vehicle's forward, but it never works. If the offending driver had any consideration, he wouldn't have parked there to begin with. An announcement over the loudspeaker is not going to change his attitude.

I'll be honest a few years ago a Werner driver blocked the fuel island at the downtown Birmingham pilot. I saw the guy behind me take his glad hand off and put a quarter in it, amd left a note on the drivers side door "DONT BLOCK THE FUEL ISLAND -------" he got in his truck and couldn't move he came back to my truck and said "yo man you know why mah truck can move" "yeah I do you blocked the fuel island so someone put a quarter in your glad hand" "what's a glad had man" I got out and went up there and popped the glad hand off and pulled the quarter out and flicked it in his face "never block the fuel island again you dumb -racial slur-" looking back I was young and rude. Now a days I would just tell the guy not to block the fuel island again and go on. But at the time I was extremely rude to everyone.
