That's great information for everyone, Pete. I guess I need to work on the blog again and add this. We really didn't have any winter driving tips before .....but it has been awhile since we have had a winter like this one. I also think I am going to try to buy an electric blanket when the stores mark them down and set it back ....just in case it would ever be needed. I never even thought about buying one until you all mentioned it.... great idea! Thanks!

they have 12 volt ones at the truckstops too
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
^ Since TA trucks have the nice inverters, I try to avoid buying the 12v , cigarette lighter electric items. For an electric blanket for example, if buy one with a standard two prong, or 3 prong grounded plug in, you can use it in the truck or just as well at home.

Arkansas is having some bad weather and several drivers say that I 40 from Little Rock to Oklahoma is icy.
Just in case anyone is in that area and needing a place to shut down, this was just posted on FB. Also it's always nice to know extra places to park ...
If it weren't for trucks and the drivers in them, you'd have nothing
Thank you Tim.
If you're needing a place to park off I-40 in Arkansas.
Exit 58...
It is the old south park truck stop. There is only a restaurant there now but there is no signs visible from interstate or highway for it.. exit 58 off I 40 (clarksville) it is directly behind Wendy's there are two entrances one on either side if Wendy's (between Wendy's and whitson Morgan ford) or (between Wendy's and Aarons rental) there is usually room in there couldn't honestly tell you how much parking because you can park all the way around the building and if not mistaken behind Aarons as well I would take a guess at 200 parking if everyone gave room and wasn't trying to take up more space than needed.

I'm going for my CDL license on Feb if all goes well. I been thinking of TA or US xpress. Can anyone here give me their opinion on US Xpress ? Or in general, would greatly appreciate it.
