You don't say who you are addressing in your post, but since I'm the one who explained my usage I'll assume it was directed to me. So I'm stupid and you don't trust me? Very nice! By the way my name is bergy and I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance as well.

In your first sentence you say you will never do a drug. Second sentence freely admits to doing a drug. Google it - Alcohol is universally classified as a drug, and in some studies is rated as the worst drug. Lots of negatives with zero benefits.

So Twinstick, since you have admitted that you have drunken before( guessing within the past five years), that you should have to have an ignition interlock on ANY vehicle you operate? As for David Brooks and the NY Times, do you really believe laws mold culture? Alcohol use exploded during prohibition. how many prostitutes are in NYC ? How come more people get shot in states with super tight gun regulations then states where people may carry and stand there ground? Prescription drugs are illegal and look how many people are addicted to them? If law molds culture then shouldn't we make being Muslim illegal since a lot of the terrorists are Muslims? What are going to want to make illegal next, trans fats and super big gulps? Are people really that scared of a society that thinks for themselves and doesn't want to have a nanny government telling them everything? I hope this country doesn't turn into the one depicted in the Stalone movie Demolition Man. In that movie they try that law molding society scenario and I'll be very honest it's not an America I want to be a part off.

I'll say this. I don't like anyone being under the influence while driving. But if you put pot up against alcohol, I'll trust the smoker a lot quicker than the drinker. Just saying.

You don't hear of too many Pot huffers beating their Spouses, getting into bar fights/whatever altercations or killing folks in auto accidents. @ any rate most people can't drive worth a tinkers #### sober so stay off the substance abuse while operating a vehicle on the public roads. Thank-you.

Neither is ok, but one way you have a clueless guy going too fast, the other you have a clueless guy going too slow. I suppose too slow would be preferred.

I think there should be a true zero tolerance for driving while under the influence. Some things shouldn't get a second chance. Get caught with something in your system and professional driving isn't an option anymore. When they used to cut off arms for stealing, I'm guessing theft was down.

I only know that it exists, and didn't know that until last year, when someone on another thread told us. What I would like to know, is there a mobile machine that the DOT/LEO can carry to administer this oral swab test?

Cuffed blood draw. Hopefully prior to vehicular manslaughter. There is no logic in getting behind wheel under any intoxicant.

With all the states legalizing weed now, I'd imagine the refinement the roadside "in your system right now" tests are sure to follow, and fairly soon. The cops need a way to bust pot smokers just like drunk drivers.

The medical field is way out of my wheelhouse though, so I don't pretend to know.

Very soon those long waits to get loaded will be more bearable if we can smoke a little 420 in the truck.

Now don't everyone get their nickers in a knot - I'm just messing with you
