Central Refrigerated Truck Stop II

Well, I was in a non-preventable accident. Driving the 435 through KC, out of the corner of my eye, I see a car come flying up a ramp, miss the turn to merge and enter tge highway perpendicular to traffic. I was 2 lanes over, but a Charger in the lane next to me and in front of me swerves in front of my truck. I hit him, he bounces off and hits the Scion he was trying to miss. Others were involved after that. 2 from the Charger went to the hospital for sure, my truck, the Charger and Scion were all towed. The cars are totaled and my truck will be in the shopfor a month.

So, I'm on a lovely bus, headed for Paris, TX to pick up a truck from a Walmart parking lot. I have next to nothing with me since I couldn't get back to my truck before heading out. Oh joy! Well, at least I can get back to work. We'll see what the truck is like since I have no info on it.

 

Wow sorry to hear about the accident. Hope the truck isnt too bad that you are going to get. Was it an abandoned Truck that you are going to get? Be safe out there and stay warm.

 

####. I would of atleast requested a plane ticket. After all. You are an employee. Not a student. The least they could do is fly you to the recovery.
I hate to be the bad news messenger. But since there were people taken to the hospital and vehicles towed. You'll get csa points for it. Even though it wasn't your fault. I know because the same thing happened to me. I. Called fmcsa about it and they said if a commercial vehicle is involved and certain things happen. Ie. tow. Injury. Etc. the driver gets csa points no matter who's at fault.

But it the important part is that you weren't hurt. And hopefully the ones taken to the hospital are ok.

 

Doulos, sorry to hear that. The only thing that I really worry about on the road is some moron putting himself under my truck!! Glad you're still with us. Drive safe everybody, the warmer it gets the more crazies will crawl outta their holes!

wow bus? man when i went to get a recovery they flew me out. and paid bags and taxi. screw bus. and man i had a guy get off the shoulder and just cut me off in freezing/ice/rain friday he literally cut me off and maybe went 10mph. I was so scared I would hit him. I esp hate when i put my signal on to move over and every truck and car wont let me in. SOmetimes the dash camera in a truck is a much needed investment. At least you werent hurt.

 

After I get my truck in going to invest in a dashcam. After reading some of the adventrues us truckers go through im getting one

 

Yep, got me one about half a year ago. You never know what to expect out here on the road.

Nope in Salt lake. I was with another student and a trainer on one truck! It was last christmas and they were short on trainers. I wonder if this happened this year also?
