####! You should give Douglas a call at TRM, Inc.
He really helped me out and is not a bottom feeder outfit like Baxter & Bailey. He's a real professional, respectful and very knowledgeable.
Hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting his info here.

You need to check the load confirmation It is a binding contract. If there is nothing stated about a penalty for early delivery then they owe you the money period. They were likely hoping you would sit and store the load for a few days. I learned to READ CAREFULLY before signing !! C H is bad about hiding things in their contract. There are certain brokers that try anything they can to take your money to keep from paying you what was negotiated. There are measures you can take. You can always threaten you are going to file on their Surety bond that usually gets them to pony up. But then you may not be able to haul for them again. And you can even file a grievance with the DOT. It all depends on what you want to do.....but the main thing is READ the CONTRACT CAREFULLY !! before you sign

You got that right. I even read in one contract where it said, "Payment to broker by customer constitutes payment to carrier."
!!!!!!! Are you KIDDING ME? !!!!!!!!!
That was just one of several items I drew the line through and then called them back on (I really wanted this load and they did have good stats). I ended up getting them to make all the changes in the contract and I singed a new contract. Knowing your legal rights is crucial!

I just have a nightmare with the same company... I picked up a load from TX to OH, get to OH and was told my appointment is the next day despite the confirmation and the date on the BOL... CH Robinson TOLD me they will pay $150 for lay over and despite my protesting, they informed me that it is the STANDARD in the business and sent me a new confirmation letter with the new appointment date and the $150 layover... I don't know what to do... Any suggestion
