Yea I figured Verizon would have more towers since they cost so much lol the main thing with contract is a $800 security deposit for 2 lines which will probably be more since adding iPads to the equation lol but I'll have tax refund and my pay from training and all around the same time so might be the time to do it lol

Well Verizon has bought out alot small rural carriers like Alltel that is what's made them a coverage strength powerhouse, they knew what they were doing. As far as the $800 deposit for 2 lines, I had to pay a $450 deposit for my line so I feel your pain. But as far as cell phones and coverage go, being a trucker I haven't regretted spending the $450.

Cost of doing business... write it off on your taxes.
Verizon was the legacy of one of the landline "Baby Bells" after the break-up of the Bell System. They got into cellular by buying Airstream... and started building from that. They moved out of the old analog cell technology rather quickly, and moved past AT&T. AT&T actually dumped their cell division at one point because they stuck with old technology that was a dead-end... selling pieces of their network to Sprint and others. They got back into it by buying out Cingular. So acquiring smaller cell outfits has been one way the larger carriers have grown into areas that have been dark to them, and has been for years.CHill0922 Thanks this. -
Verizon has always been good to me. The only complaint i have is they don't have coverage in Southwest Ohio and part of New Mexico.

There are parts of New Mexico where the jackrabbits haven't bought cell phones yet! LOL!!!

I've been in the cell phone business for a while and I could guarantee you Verizon would be your best bet since their network is the greatest in the US.
ATT (which is the company I currently have) is the second best coverage-wise but still will won't be as reliable as VZ. Price is almost the same.
Coverage is the best but their rates are also the highest in the market. What is left to analyze is how bad you need your service up all the time.
T-mobile is alright but not really that much of a truck-friendly network unless you don't go out there as much...
Sprint is the fourth "ok" because i wouldnt say best since their coverae and data speeds are not quite good at all...
Hope this has helped you to make up your mind...CHill0922 Thanks this. -
If you decide to go out there and start OTR you might need to...

I like to stay connected I understand why Verizon is the highest rate because they have the most towers to maintain and all that I'm probably going to pick up with Verizon once I start driving and everything need reliability since I'll be gone from my family and want to video chat and be able to call whenever
