I'm trying to find a company that pays for everything...lodging, meals, transportation, cdl etc...I heard it's a few out there but don't know who. Any ideas?

Most state prison systems pay for everything. Do the crime and get your time.
Seriously, You have to put some effort in becoming a truck driver. There are no FREE rides. You will pay one way or another. -
im pretty sure swift has one of those, but if you fail, you owe them all of it. If you pass your an indetured servent for them for a year regardless of how they treat you. You cant leave unless you want to pay.
TigerBait Thanks this. -
Exactly, that's why I don't want to pay anything up front. If I'm driving for you for a year I expect to not pay anything up front out my pockets. Theses companies is going to make it back 10x more from me driving with them.

One of the primary rules of economics 101 " THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH".
You will pay, pay, pay, pay, pay, pay, pay, and pay some more if you go that route.
But if that is the only way............................. , go for it.TigerBait Thanks this. -
um.... most companies dont make you pay anything up front... of course the CDL thing isn't offered by all
you do know you're still gonna have to pay for your living expenses right, on the road that is
honestly going in with that type of carelessness you might as well go wander into central park at midnight, drop your pants and bend over with a sign that reads "do what you like, as long as I don't have to pay for it".....Tonythetruckerdude and Dinomite Thank this. -
What you are looking at is becoming an Owner/Operator.

Well, Bait, you're going to need some money. That's just the truth of it. A cheap driver who buys his food at Walmart and doesn't eat a lot of hot meals might only need $100/week. Tolls, supplies, shoes and clothes, tools, stuff of all kinds just come along that you need to buy. The good news - it's all tax deductible. Actually, now that tax season is on us, much of day to day expenses is covered in your Per Diem transportation worker deduction. -
You have 6 yrs exp according to your avatar so why would paying for a cdl be a factor?
-
If there were such things.. I'd strongly suggest avoiding them and any carrier that has them... I don't believe you find a single one as most business stopped taking people as dependents a long time ago. If you cannot afford training, you cannot afford to drive for a livingTonythetruckerdude and biggare1980 Thank this.
