What is sysco starting their drivers off at now? (I know it depends on location), How much Overtime are/were you getting when you first started?, and Does anyone know approx how long it takes to hear anything from them when you apply online?

Sysco pays well, however you need to fall in love with pushing a hand truck.

How long does it take to get a response from them after putting in your initial app?

dont think anyone can answer that one, companies can take their time getting back to you. I used to be an Executive chef so i got to know my drivers well who delivered to me, the sysco driver I had at the time said he was making close to $60k a year and he worked 4 days a week but it was long hours and a lot of work, I always felt bad watching him bring in my stuff since I would be ordering 10 cases of varied meats at 80+ lbs a case 1-2 times a week plus all the other junk. That guy was great and knew how to work, he also would even take the stuff into my walk ins if he saw me really busy and I could always trust him, he would even come up to me with the paperwork and tell me he is taking back a case of tomatoes since they looked poor.
I respect most food delivery drivers I have known, good luck to you!superpet39 Thanks this. -
sysco takes their time, from when I went in on a face to face interview it almost a month before they set me up for me prehire drug test and physical, Ive heard some places in Cali start as high as 24.00 per hour, I dont think you would have a problem making 70,000 to 75,000 at least as long as your not afraid of the long hours.
