Hello all... I am a certified medical examiner and I have a medical clinic.

We are offering DOT physical exams and DOT drug testing services.

I am trying to contact carriers to present myself and my services but I am not having much luck.

Our prices are much lower than our competition but where I seem to be having problems is finding the person that is in charge of finances.

How would you guys go about getting business from carriers if you were in my shoes?

Thank you very much for the advice.

I am a certified medical examiner so my name is on the registry. I was hoping to be a bit more proactive in approaching carriers.

    not my rules!

You might list where your located and call the local carriers as that would be most of your business.
    You might also call OOIDA.

Find all your local carriers and then contact their safety department. Those are the ones that would be interested in your services. An office worker or dispatcher would probably brush you off. They might have a present contract they have to meet so leave something with a lasting effect like a letter and business card.

Then you have many walk in drivers. They usually find you by the yellow pages or google. I'll usually google "(city, state) DOT Physical" and you'll see certain sites you can put your info on.

Another area you can consider is contacting the trucking schools including the community colleges that offer truck driver training. Students have to have that physical before they get their CDL. Then they go to their first training company and usually get a second company physical.

you will also try to promote your services through online. I think that was also effective.

The man is asking how to advertise his services. He isn't asking your personal views on drug testing. Start your own thread.

i understand that, but it it at least relates to the topic.

apologies, i'm used to more loosely structured message boards where veering off topic isn't frowned upon. didn't mean to distespect the rules. will fall in line from here out. i'm just bored, felt like posting. i'll delete my post
