    I think honeybager is correct.....

Both times, the cam turned red immediately, and stay red all day. That next morning I got "THE CALL".

I was doing ok with the lease till I had to go to the doctor and that took all weekend. Since then only one positive settlement and looking at no settlement for the next 2 weeks cause I went home. They do not get the same kind of miles that you got here Cranky Yankee. I wish they did but they have been giving me crappy miles 4 out of the last 6 loads have been an average of 200-250 miles a day. I have filled out applications and they have been calling Trans Am and now they realize I might go somewhere else so they are trying to get me better miles now but to me it is too little too late. I have accepted another job but won't go there till I make some money as alll these medical bills broke the bank so I am picking up a student tomorrow and he is going to have to learn fast cause I need to make money. I know that sounds bad but this is the worst lease out of the 3 I have done. Even when I drove for the small guys it was better than this. Any new people looking to come here go company or you will go broke leasing DO NOT LISTEN TO THE TRAINERS IN THE YARD they make it seem so easy but if you have to take time off you are screwed. I made decent money before when I leased but with no detention pay, layover pay or oops we messed up pay it is very hard to make money unless you don't go home

Hi folks~ I've been taking a little break and catching up on some reading ....even I get tired of this weird world of trucking every once in awhile. I call them my "trucking sucks" moods! I actually even fell asleep on the couch this evening ....totally out of character for me!

I did read an interesting article this evening about there being a shortage in the nation's beef supply. It made me think of the many complaints lately about schedules being off and the fact that TransAm is a beef hauler ....that is their bread and butter. This article said that many factors were causing cattle to be sold off sooner than normal,(droughts, blizzards, the cost of feed), and that many were getting out of the cattle business. The price of beef is supposed to continue to sky rocket because of this supply and demand. They think this trend will continue until about 2017.

oliver2, the King still doesn't have one single gray hair!......it's not fair but I got them all! He has lost weight also, and he was thin to begin with. I always try to keep his truck stocked up and make sure that he stops and has one "sit down" meal a day. When he first started as a driver I thought he might gain a few pounds but he didn't.

My truck is dead due to DPF problem for the second time in two weeks, the shop here in Ft. Wayne can not even open the hood to look at it until next week. :banghead:

TransAm is talking about bringing me back to Olathe to get me out of this old ratty truck and into a new truck

TransAm's means of transportation will likely be 14+ hours on a Greyhound bus :banghead:

I am just sitting in my disabled truck at the KW shop waiting for my fate and final arrangements to be decided :smt069
