Ok, so I don't know how much this will help other drivers thinking about hauling freight down here, but DON'T!

.99 cents per mile going rate for any kind of freight coming out of here. And the short hauls are just around Florida, NOT getting you out of a bad area into the next state.
The long hauls out of here have at least 1000 miles or so on them, but why haul a 1000 mile load for .99 cents? Total rip off.

DOT busting trucks along the normal routes and scales that don't turn on the Prepass.

$4.00 a gallon fuel, and little parking or hard to find.

Freight few and far between locations of drop off and pick up.

Screw this place, ride empty to the state!!

I run to Florida maybe a hand full of times each year. This is the lowest I have seen it. I guess the .44 cents per mile company drivers can eat up all this good paying freight down here. And the DOT can eat them up as well, because ya know there brand new truck and trailer what could be wrong?

Sometimes you've just gotta go, for that customer that pays well year around on all the other lanes. However, most shippers understand that we've got to charge to come out on the load going in. If you didn't do that, it's your on fault. Not something to rant about on here. Like the old saying goes. "If you don't know what ya doing, ask someone"

Yea, everyone knows getting out of floeida sucks, but if you can find a load paying 3-4/mile going in, who cares what you get going out.

Maybe thats what you should have done with your life instead of owning one and coming onto here bad mouthing a .44 cent company driver. Wait, my bad, I only make .42. I'm not going to get into a discussion of why Florida rates are so bad for an O/O, they've been this way for 33 years that I've been driving........as a company driver.
