Good to know, thanks for asking man!

What about the guy sitting to your left at the red light that thinks he's okay to do a right on red? If you're going to do it do it where no one is around. If you are surrounded by 4wheelers you're asking for trouble.
These are last options. There is almost always a safe parking lot to spin around in or go around the block. I don't think I've ever seen a truck spin around in an intersection at a light. Open gaps in the median coming off the right shoulder yes, intersections no. -
If you have to go miles out of your way to get turned around safely and legally ,oh well just do it then.Back when I first started I drove 25 miles out of my way in Canada till I found a place to turn around which was a farm dirt road. You learn not to make such a mistake by missing your turn or exit. Can't say that I blame Schneider for this no uturn policy.Im sure some uturns are plenty big enough but if Schneider broke their policy for one driver then all the drivers would brk it and make uturns where they see fit.

At no time are SNI trucks allowed to pull a uturn on a PUBLIC roadway. Private property, no problem. Detroit left turns, no problem.
Northern WI and the UP have a lot of divided highways with cross traffic. If you are on a side street and want to turn left then by law you are supposed to make a right, go down to the next light, and then make two immeadiate left turns. Those are the only situtations I'll do a uturn.
That being said I've put myself in many situations that were much more unsafe trying to get turned around than the upturn would have been. One light industrial/commercial park I missed my turn (no sign). Turned into the next property where it looksd like I could go in one drive and out the other. Turns out there was a tiny ditch between the drives. It took almost a half hour to back around a four wheeler sized parking lot. The upturn would have been easier and safer. -
and the discussion continues I will try to get the confirmation sent on my Qualcomm and take a picture

When I was a rookie I ended up at the Mexican border. They helped me get turned around. Nope I don't want to go that way! The place I was looking for was right there at the border on a side street I missed.

Picking up pallets in Dallas, Tx, I forget the destination but Jill actually tells you to make a U Turn at the light as part of the directions.

I made a u-turn once. Made a wrong turn in Downtown Chicago, realized it as soon as I turned pulled over and turned on my 4 ways. I had an intersection in front of me, straight ahead it sad low clearance 12'7", to the right it said "no trucks" to the left it said "no trucks".
As I sat there contemplating what to do, there was a knock on my door, one of Chicago's finest.
He says "got yourself into a pickle huh?, well, you have 4 choices, one, you can drive straight and take off the top of your rig. Two, you can turn right, but I will have to give you a ticket. Three, you can turn left, but again, I will have to give you a ticket. Four, I can block traffic and let you turn this rig around so you are facing the right way, what's it gonna be?"
Naturally, I chose option 4. After I got turned around I got out to thank him. He said don't mention it, happens at least twice a week on that street!! -
Chicago sure does have a lot of those darn low bridges. Glad you had a friendly cop there to help with the traffic.
