Yep. And no. Depends. Do a search on this forum for "Oil Field."

Pay will vary by location, experience, work available, etc...
AKA results may not be typical.
this is my first experience in oil field, I began on 8/28, and this stub (what I left for viewing) is from 11/29 (3 months exactly)Attached Files:

Yup, ND is alot better pay (but also ###### high cost of living). That's why I put all of the factors in on my post. Also, I am swinging a hammer more often than I am driving.

My rent comes out of my check. $125 every 2 weeks isn't exactly expensive. 2013 $107k driving a water truck around isn't bad. Worked 43 weeks 9 weeks off

Not bad at all, but as I said, experiences will vary. I know CO isn't paying nearly what Texas is. And the same goes for Texas towards ND.

Pilot hires drivers with no experience to go work in Tioga, ND for $100K a year.
i have heard crazy things about that place, not sure if any of it is true.
i know the winters are frigidly cold (-80° and wind chills even worse).
not a lot of women up there and a lot of these places are man camps and supposedly a lot of man on man rape occurs as a result (heard word of mouth, not sure if true or just a rumor).
but the money is good! so I hear. -
I love the rumors. Lol
-80 temps seem to discourage our neighbors to the south from coming here to flood the market with drivers like in Texas. No habla mexicano -
