EDIT: Got all the info I need, thanks to those who posted and those who PM'd!
So I'm all set to get my CDL-A training in the next few weeks and am eligible for WIA funding provided I get pre-hire letters soon. However, my school has only 3 companies they work with for pre-hires and I haven't heard back from them yet.
As such, can anyone point me to a list of companies that have online pre-hire applications and will give a pre-hire letter to a driver getting independent training?
So far I've applied with:
[REDACTED]
Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Note: I only care about the pre-hire letters themselves, not actually getting a job with any of these companies after graduation. As soon as I have my CDL-A I plan on taking my truck and camper right up to North Dakota to start looking for long-term work there.
What companies have ONLINE applications for pre-hire letters?

Try Knight. They are a starter company too. I don't know if they have an online app, but wont' hurt for you to have a look.

Try TMC. They are flat bed if you are ok with that.

I looked at Knight's site and couldn't find an online app for student drivers seeking pre-hires but I'll give them call on Monday and see what they offer. Thanks!
Definitely OK with that. Again, I only want the pre-hire letters themselves because they are a prerequisite to obtaining WIA funding for my school but I don't actually want a gig with any of these companies when I get my CDL-A.... unless they have 60+ hours of work a week for me in the Bakken.Jdogg79 Thanks this. -

Good to know. I'll look them up right now

Pre-hire really does not mean anything, they tell you that to get you to travel. Truth is if anything is wrong, like drug test, booze, any kind of misinformation they show you the door.
Do not lie on the application about anything, No pot for at least a month before you go, no booze once you get there. Be very straight with the recruiter always better to be told know and still be at home. Believe on this.TruckerAce48 and mack711 Thank this. -
I don't think you read the OP fully.
Again, I DO NOT actually want a job with any of these companies.
I only want the pre-hire letters themselves because they are needed to obtain WIA financing to pay for my schooling.
So any company that can get me a pre-hire letter for a CDL-A job will work perfectly. -
Why do you care about getting the prehire letters then? Why waste all their timeif you dont plan on working for them?

I've already explained it THREE TIMES in this thread including in the post you quoted and in the post directly above yours.
I literally don't know how I could possibly explain it in simpler terms.HauntedSchizo19 Thanks this.
