While searching for videos of parking and driving big rigs I came across a video of an accident. The truck was moving along, looked about 70mph or a little under, when it looks like a tire blew out and the driver lost total control and flipped it.. Does this really happen? What can you do? Scary.

When you drive you must drive for yourself and anticipate other drivers' actions but please do NOT drive in fear. I didn't have a steer blow but a drive can have deadly consequences as well. Most importantly don't panic and just use your experiences to make the best decision on how to react.

Trucks can end up in very difficult to imagine positions following a deviation from normal travel. While they are heavy and tend to maintain their original momentum, the joint in the middle, the heavy mass, and the weight at the rear and heavily leveraged due to the long lengths causes some very odd occurrences in crashes. Seeing many of the crashes due to ice recently, a few I simply could not envision what transpired and how it transpired to cause the truck/trailer to end up in the position it did. To my way of thinking, the laws of physics did not apply in many situations
