Not normal..
What is the outside temperature? is your fan running constantly... (you should be able to hear it if it is on.. If not get out and look).. What temp thermostat did you put in it? -
No, it is not normal. Usually it is a bad thermostat, fan staying on or coolant temperature sensor is bad.
-
Real cold maybe in the 20s,the fan was deffinetly off
-
Check engine temp with laser temp gun make sure your not chasing a bad gauge also when u put in new t stat did you get the bottom seal in good ig they are not in straight they can bypass water and cause low water temp
-
Volvo installed the thermostat I'm not sure, but if I got a heavy load it's good, temp only goes down when it's real cold and I'm on a real light load otherwise it stays up there around 190 area
-
I would call the shop my guess is bottom seal not set flat can cause t stat to stick open but still work most of the time
-
I'll stop by Volvo, would it course damage to run like that, thank you for your replies
-
No won't hurt much won't run as efficient but not that big of deal
-
Thank you for the reply
