My low voltage alarm keeps going off. Every 30-45 minutes if I'm watching netflix via Playstation and TV. My APU starts up and resets my electronics and it's getting pretty annoying. My inverter voltage display shows 12.2-12.5 when the alarm goes off, along with 12.2-12.5 on my dash gauge. 13.8ish with truck running.

Bad batteries? How long do batteries typically last? Truck is a 2012 T660, tripac APU/inverter. I would not be surprised if these are the original batteries.
should I get the truck into the shop or wait until I get by a terminal?

Could be batteries getting worn if they are factory batteries only good a couple years but before I changed them it would be worth cleaning the connections and if you do end up replacing them I would go with interstate batteries over the OEM ones but that's just me

Getting new batteries in the truck will only help the problem for a while. With the inverter and depending on the TV you are using a good amount of power and the APU is detecting this running so that the battery's have more then enough charge to run. I got our shop to install a switch that would allow me to start the apu when I was going to be using any type of electrical appliance then the low voltage safety would not kick in and kill all of my stuff.

check the terminals on the batteries.

one could have come loose and your not getting a proper charge.

I was just about to mention that.
My last problem with the batteries was fixed by tightening the terminal bolts on 2 of the 4 batteries.
    They were barely finger tight.

How much of a demand am I putting on the batteries? That's a good question. The answer, I don't know.

im currently running my Playstation 4 and a 19" LED TV. Phone charger and my 12v Coleman. A cab light here and there for a minute or two. Doesn't sound too demanding!

As as for running the APU whenever I want, I can't. Unless I turn the AC on.

Also, as luck would have it, I left my toolbox at home during Christmas. Oops.

Try driving instead of hanging around the truckstop.

Y'know, I never thought of that!

only problem is, I'm 9 miles from tomorrow's delivery doing a reset, smart ###.

also, driving does impove the problem slightly but not much.

some of us do actually work 80+ hours a week...

Do you ever smell rotten eggs, first sign of a failing battery, second stop at the auto supply and get a battery hydro meter, glass tube that measures the weight or density of the acid. It wi;ll tell before a gage when the battery is going bad. also disconnect your batteries from each other check them for a gauge they should all have the same voltage reaading if not the weak one is bad.

Oh yeah, don't be so touchy. Lifes too short.

    No smell that I've noticed.

Can weather cause damage in a short period of time? Since Christmas, I've seen several nights below 0 and most nights below 32. I don't idle the truck at night.

eh, not a good weekend. Sitting more than rolling. One of those days.
