    Hey everyone,

    After scouring the boards for a better part of a year, I decided it's time to stop reading and start doing. I talked to my recruiter Julie, this afternoon and I am set to arrive in Springfield on 2/10. I'm very excited, only thing I'm not looking forward to is the two day bus ride from Oregon.:biggrin_25523: Thanks to all the awesome people that have shared their knowledge.

    It will be quite a change coming from the education field; transitioning from teacher to student.

    some companies are willing to give you the money they would spend on a bus ticket so you can pay the difference and fly. Gray hound SUCKs and a 2 day bus trip will wear you out.

    I not only second that but I 93rd that! You will be best up by the time you get there and joining a awkward schedule that will kick your butt! Check now to see who flies into Springmo! You will be compensated for the bus ticket and they buy the unrestricted most expensive one, if you book now you may be able to get it for the same amount, I highly suggest that you fly rather then ride the DOG! If you have any money at all you should consider flying rather then riding the bus. But it is up to you, Even if you can arrive a day early, they always have rooms at the Inn!

    I thought about driving, but would probably as much or more in cash since I have an SUV, plus would have an issue getting back to Oregon after I get my own truck

    A friend of mine did the bus trip thing. By the time he got there he was tired and stressed and failed some pre hire test. Maybe blood pressure or something. Don't remember but he still drives and has for 30 years. It was just a wore out and tired thing

    If you decide to fly, try Branson MO airport, I know if several folks who flew into there. Said it was alot cheaper than Springfield.

    Good luck and DO NOT get stressed out.

    I believe there is a shuttle that runs from there. Runs about 100.00 Check out the Branson, MO airport website for more info
