Not yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if I get one in the near future. The semi fleet is converting to those and we have a whole bunch sitting on the lot as we speak. They hand them out by seniority and obviously availability. They had 3 more ready for the road yesterday. I'm fine with the one I have, shop foreman told me that the guy before me was averaging 7.2-7.4 so if that's the case, keep me in it. That's more money in my pocket.
KF7WTV Thanks this. -
Hey weeble would COTC let a driver come on and pull a curtain right away or would they have to wait and flatbed awhile? been pulling a conestoga since April and love pulling it.
-
I honestly couldn't answer that. That is something that the recruiters could probably answer for you. The only reason I got one was because I needed something less physical or I had to leave.
Rugerfan and Willypeter Thank this. -
Well, i have put my app in with cotc. Hopefully i will be seeing you soon. already talked to the recruiter via email. I have got my fingers crossed!
Weeble Kneeble Thanks this. -
That's great bub, any idea of what area you're thinking about running? Best of luck in the application process and hopefully we'll see you out here.
Picked up a valve and a blower today in Halsey, totaling a whopping 22k pounds. Dropped the valve off in Prineville and now I'm taking my 10 in Ontario, OR. Plan on being in Memphis Thursday afternoon, hopefully early enough to get this blower off.
Didn't even break a sweat today, and I loaded and unloaded today. I think this is going to work out well, liking the newer and bigger truck as well. -
I'm hoping for more of a regional route, I live in Tacoma Washington so I'm right next to i5. But we shall see.

Emailed Karin back and forth yesterday and would have to pull a flat for awhile before any chance of getting a curtain or conestoga but I just don't think I like flatbedding enough to go back to it. I am too spoiled with the conestoga

We have plenty of freight in and out of there, I was in and out of the port on a regular basis with the quads. That doesn't include the surrounding towns and cities. You live in a great area for the quads and I've heard there's good miles on the Western 11 fleet, especially if you run Canada or an occasional 48.

I here ya on that Ruger. I really didn't mind tarping all that much, because most of the stuff I hauled with the quads was more or less square. Except for coils, I hated tarping those.
This roll top certainly is a lot more convenient.Rugerfan Thanks this.
