Okay so my husband graduated Truck school. Been one hell of a time finding a job! Heres the ones that arent hiring in our area that we called and they said they dont hire in our area or just said no sorry.. Werner, Schnieder, GTI, Stevens, Melton, Walkins Shepherd..im sure im forgetting more.. The ones that have called us back are Central Refrigeration(.28 cents a mile), Swift(.25 cents a mile) and Con way (.30 cents a mile.. So I guess those are the only ones.. Swift we cannot survive on at all.. Anyone know anything about Central or Conway? We live in Northern California..

Have you tried typing "Cottonwood, CA" in Google Maps, zooming out a little bit, then typing "trucking companies" in the search? There are literally dozens of companies around you within 40 miles. Several auto haulers and other trucking companies to choose from.

What about the trucking school? I would think they would be your #1 resource for finding employment as a fresh graduate.

I would complain to the dean. They should be 100% involved in assisting his employment gain ujtil he is employed
