He'll be in a smaller tractor, but it's worth it.

 

First they will not want to hire you if they can not get you home, as he will just quit anyway. Second he is not a truckdriver, he is a student. He is now ready to be trained. There are considerable number of companies that will train him, and pay his school back over the first year, but your going to need to work also.

After the first year it gets better, but you have to serve your time without crashing there truck, or getting tickets. either hurts you.

Prime, Swift, CR England, CRST, Knight, Central Refrigeration in Salt Lake, these are your best shot.

This trucking stuff by the way is not easy for him or you, it is going to test your marriage like you never imagined. Like when he's been out for 3 or 4 weeks coming up on Christmas and they send him the other way....

In your situation, Prime is probably a good choice.
MCT in Boise, ID might hire him but don't know if it's a better choice than Prime. I say go with Prime.

 

Tell us the trucking school and help spread the word as to their non-professional ways. Most all schools offer decent job placement assistance and even have recruiters begging for new drivers. This school seems to need a calling out.
