First I am just a driver. Not a recruiter. Second I was talking about the forum administrators. They don't want any recruiting here on the forums.

Third, the 14 hour guarantee is what Sun Coast is offering drivers who relocate to Midland. To clarify, that means they are guaranteeing you will be paid for 14 hours every day you work no matter what. So if your truck breaks down and you go home early you still get paid 14 hours.

Fourth, I do drive for Sun Coast. Just not in Midland. I know what I was offered if I wanted to go to Midland. They keep upping the anti because they need drivers there now. I like it where I am. The people I work with and work for are the best. There will always be things to complain about but I am happy here.

 

Maybe for other terminals there is a 14 hour guarantee, but at midland, the highest paid terminal, we work for what we are paid. Very true that we need drivers, but there isn't a 14 hour guarantee just as well as there isn't any night differential that the rest of the terminals are paid.

 

OK, you are over there I am not. But I was personally offered a 14 hour guarantee in return for a 4-6 week commitment. I chose to stay in Corpus Where I am happy. In fact that offer was later messaged to all drivers over Qualcomm. I am surprised you didn't read it.

 

I did read it and here is the key to it "for a 4-6 week commitment." You have to already be working for the company at another terminal for that to apply. It does not apply to new hires.

Regardless, it's still a heck of an offer.

 

so no 14 hr guarantee for new hires. well that is less exciting. but sounds like it's not too difficult to get 14 a day?

They wouldn't be offering it if they didn't think we would be working 14-15 hours every day.
