Even with 2.5 days of hometime, Im still lined up for almost 3000 miles this week. Got some dog biscuits and headed to TX. Drop and hook in Plainview and then pulling out of Friona going to GA. Life is good. Had a blast with my husband and kids. Got a brand new phone to play with and curbed my sushi craving for a minute. Gonna run like mad til I get to Olathe for some maintenance.

snowing here at Walcott.........sigh

I don't know if it matters to any of you or if TransAm is still sending out notices but the King's company says fuel is going up after midnight.
honeybadger, I saw some reports today that said there is a possibility of freezing rain, ice and snow later on this week in Texas. They weren't going to commit yet but were watching this system. Keep an eye on the weather..... I will post it here if I see anything further.
Also, they have changed their minds about the St. Louis area and are now saying snow there for tonight..honeybadger. Thanks this. -
I didn't think they would work with him and let him go company, oliver2, but I was hoping that they were reevaluating some of their policies. It's their loss when they let dedicated drivers leave over these lease deals. But ....George is moving on to bigger and better things and as an added bonus he will be home more often!
oliver2 Thanks this. -
Thanks HTQ.
Hey Honeybadger,George is staying at the La Quinta!HometimeQueen and .honeybadger. Thank this. -
I really liked that hotel. Much nicer than the comfort inn who has a bunch of thieves working there

Hiya all .... I have a preplan going to California. Last time I went there, had a shootout with TA over unpaid miles. Any update on how TransAm is handling the backhaul? Are they routing and paying the long way around that follows both TA policy and chain laws or are they just cutting drivers loose with the GPS and having them figure it out?

i see transam trucks everyday on 15 70 and 80 so that would tell me your on your on
passport220 Thanks this. -
^ Not to cause a problem but to avoid one, I reminded my DM that I am the kind of Prima donna who will demand to be paid for miles he is assigned and has to drive to comply with both TransAm's published no chain policy and state law. I think they are working on pulling my California preplan and finding me something else now.
The "something else" will likely suck. I get the feeling my DM does not really like me all that much any more.
--------------------------------------------
Edit: looks like they are still going to send me to California after all. Nothing said about backhaul miles. I will just be positive about it and hope it all works out with any issue.Last edited: Jan 22, 2014

"Published No Chain Policy"? Are you referring to the fact that drivers have to supply and cover the cost of chains? Or, is there some other policy I am unaware of? Just curious.
