It occurred to me today that with a GPS they have a memory in them I'm sure. What would stop them from dumping the memory on the GPS to check your log book etc. I'm sure that isn't a really big deal to some as their log book already has one but its a matter of principle to me. I won't be tracked or monitored on every move I make. Its just another tool that they can use against you should they choose.

Not paranoid but yes I do throw a piece or two of paper away from time to time.

Regarding the issue of GPS versus using an atlas, I'm emphatically of the opinion, "Yes!"....
... use every bit of information you can if you are traveling a route that is new or to a new destination. I use my RM Atlas, my GPS, Google Maps and Streetview, and call the customer for directions. Stay aware and use as many tools as it takes to get the job done.Moving Forward Thanks this.
