I find that most companies tell you want to hear to get you to call. I'm wondering how much of the ads they are running are true? Most of it sounds to good to be true so I'm guessing not much!
Also, I take what LoganB says with a grain of salt. seems he doing a little damage control. I've found that if you really want to know about a company, ask the people who work there! Seems if read some negative posts from the office staff as well. If I could get in a decent truck, run 3k a week @ .50 per mile.....I could put up with a lot, lol.

I don't expect anyone to take my word for it.

ok, so after reading 4 pages of posts. i feel i need to say something.

i did work for Caregan Transport. and so i can tell you from experience what to expect. i don't believe in bullsh*tting people. especially when it comes to their livelihood.

no matter what company you go with, you will NEVER find perfection, and if you ever do, you won't fit it.

when i first started, i wanted to stay local, home nightly because i was going to school. they set me up to where i was back by dinner most nights.
then, when the semester was over, i wanted more miles. the gave them to me.
when i had a sudden case of gout to where i could not move my clutch-foot, they sent a driver out to drive me back in my own truck..
and when i found out my license was suspended, they sent a driver out to bring me back in my own truck.

yeah, the two trucks i was in were kind of old, but they ran 99% of the time.

once, had a VERY messed up run. (0300 leave richmond, IN/finish unloading in western IN by 0900/ 50 mile DH/pick up a load of books with detention/ deliver to KY by 1600/ get there and have to wait until 2300 because amazon sucks and sets appointments without telling the company or brokers/ then am told they are running behind, they will call when ready/ finally get in by 0230 the next day/ long time to unload, out around 0800. been up over 28 hours for a maybe 400-450 miles.) - got my ten and wasted a day, well almost 2 days, i could have been driving.

    but, this could happen anywhere.

sure, certain things could be improved in my opinion (satellite system), but all-in-all, i can't really say anything bad about this company. don't get me wrong, i'm not a squishy nice person. i will tell you who f*s up when and where. for example; ProFleet (elkhart, in) most of the staff is cool, but the owner is a total d*ck. family tradition (richmond indiana) worst place ever. too many reasons to list here, but they not only rip off the drivers, family tradition actually STEALS from them as well.

Caregan is an ok company. but, like anything, it will be what you make of it. no ritz carlton, no banquet breakfast, no buffalo ######### frills. do your job, get your money.

as with any advertisement, especially in trucking, you have to know how to read them. the most appealing sample will be 'proof' of a claim, or some sly wording to get you in the door. honestly if you don't like what they have to offer, then move on, they don't want you either. and you can never have it all, company A offers hometime, co B offers +cpm, co C offers better insurance. pick the one most important to you and seek companies offering just that, expect to lose out on the rest.

Yes,and no one calls you back,I've been out here 26 yrs and have 2 million miles accident free
Sounds like a good place to stay away from.thanks for not calling me back(your recruiter was suppose to be out)
If this stuff isn't true why are u so hostile, naming ex employees
And making public why they were terminated is in extremely poor
Taste , say a lot about your company. P.S . And no I have
Never worked for you so u don't have to waste your time
Trying to dig up dirt on me.

The most recent ad I saw said .60 cpm. That must be for team, right? Company is based in Indiana. Isn't Indiana a 'right to work' State? Seems that a lot of drives get screwed by companies in Indiana for workers comp, and unemployment.

One of their hot-head drivers caused a major wreck on I-10, down by Lake Charles, Louisiana. Google caregan lawsuits and you'll see the case pop-up on Justica. This bone-brain was riding these poor people's trunk-lid like a UFO in Independence Day!

update: I did go back to this company. I did notice that it took some effort on my part chasing down pay sometimes. Missed load here, missed detention pay there. Other than that, everything was the same. But after many episodes of harassment from the dispatcher, lance brown, i did quit. Then the ####### perjured himself in the unemployment hearing, screwed me over yet again. If lance ever leaves, i'd be happy to go back. But i will never be subject to that assh0le again.

    Latest update:
Just found out that the jerks at caregan have loaded my DAC with false information preventing me from getting hired. Even at Swift and US-xpress, of all places who take anyone with a pulse.

Ordered a copy of my DAC. Plan to dispute. Anyone got any experience with disputes/repair? How hard is it? How long does it take? Any tips to make my case strong?
