Companies like J.B would start selling assets, downsizing and total restructuring before they would go out of buisness..

Its hard to kill of the bottom feeder large corporations...

 

I heard the rumor about Gainey/Super Service several months ago. Looks like some of their drivers have new trucks, and I still see alot of them. Super Service which is owned by Gainey, is based out of Somerset, Kentucky btw. So my guess would be, it's all just a rumor.

Werner has down sized here anyway. for the time being i know someone whom works there and they told me that story. Swift is not shutting down. their schooling has been and is being checked out for giving out drivers licenses too freely by the feds. jb hunt as well is going strong. dont know where that all came from, but its only a rummor.

 

I had heard a rumor that TMC was getting ready to file bankruptcy. Heard they were getting under cut by Maverick and losing a lot of accounts. Fuel for those large cars has to be hurting them too.

 

First of all the owners of both companies are good friends.

 

I dunno about the story. But you are right about those large units. Completely dumb IMHO to have those windwalls pulling freight in these times.
