Honestly, if it were me, I'd get into tanker of flatbed.
I'd stay away from reefer and dry van, because they're just such a pain.
I'm sure Chinatown will drop by with a good list of companies to work for- seriously consider his recommendations as he knows what he's talking about when it comes to good/bad companies.HauntedSchizo19 Thanks this. -
yea, the school im in now seems to just reccomend the big companies...US Xpress, Werners, etc.'
is it really possibel to make 52k a year first year out if you bust your ###?Jrivas23 Thanks this. -
Am in the boat you are.
To be honest I highly doubt making 52K since for us "newbies" mileage pay is considerably lower. In case it is possible, I would definitely be into getting myself there! -
this is just what my instructor told me today. 36-42k average. 1k a week if you hustle and bustle.

Highly unlikely , Those companies like you mentioned are a good choice out of school. Most of them have tuition reimbursement for recent grads. Gotta get your toes in the sand before you play in the sand box. I went to Schneider because they pay the most for the least amount of training time. Good Luck to you! Plus a sign on bonus. they pay $80 per day for three week orientation, then if you check out your off and running own your own.

yea, but why go over the road for 35k when u could get a local job for $15 per hour, around 35k??? not saying it would be easy to get local, but i just sent in for about 6 of them that didnt require any experience!
edit - cdl b jobs that is...although i am getting a cdl a. -
Put where you live in your profile...trucking doesn't pay the same everywhere.Dan.S Thanks this.
