You called it right on all rounds...I can make better money doing something else....I JUST LOVE CHROME AND LIGHTS...I'm weak...Don't hate me for it Sand....It's just that me,Brick,550,379x,379 and others on here love TRUCKS and are willing to pay for them...Hey,if you like Volvos...more power to you.Its just if I was going with a real ugly chick with hairy legs and her armpits looked like she had Buckwheat in a head lock,I wouldn't go on here and brag about her...I could still love her ,but I wouldn't tell anyone...You're telling the world tho' and you're kinda embarassing yourself and making us feel uncomfortable FOR you.

Preach on brother!.... I was nearly stating facts about volvo, facts of personal experience with them, even though i never owned one, just seen enough people suffer from owning one. Horrible service, horrible reliability, and horrible resale. :biggrin_25512:

I like 379's and W9's but when I am able to buy one I will haul it to truck shows on a flat using my 780 Volvo.

Hey Sand....I hope your bank account does grow and you're very successfull at what you do.Just afford us the same respect. As 550 so nicely put it"We can't all ride vaccum cleaners" and since you're paying the bills for your ride, ride what you like.No disrespect intended.:biggrin_25512:

I look at it like this. 379's and w9's are like Harley Davidson Motorcycles. They are a throwback to the old days. Volvo's and other streamlined trucks are like the rice-rocket bikes. I happen to like the styling of both types. I think my 780 looks like a stealth bomber. All go and no show.

10-4, Yall have a safe trip.

I like this thread because you guys are totally passionate in your writings!
I can't necessarily speak from experience but I remember getting the chance to drive a new White-Freightliner COE with a 350 Cummings. This was in '76.Doesn't sound like much but it sure was all the difference over the older daycabs of the day!
I was proud of my first "LargeCar" and I ran it all over NE, PA, OH, VA, WV the Carolinas. It was setup for around up and down the hills in those parts.
Funny thing was, I got to take it LA and when I was in NM, I came up behind a mini-convoy. I squawked some smart-### nonsense like "get out the way" and before I knew it the radio went silent and these guys started to roll and they rolled and rolled until I couldn't barely see their tail lights! We all stopped miles up the road. I saw their setups...These guys laughed their butts off and I bought the beers... and that was my intoduction to REAL Large Cars!
Bottom line for me is I will soon drive a Pete or a K-Wopper w/a 550 (anyone have experience w/ T-660's) and I won't care about MPG, DOT, Qualcomm and company policy or any of that crap!
I'll be RETIRED driving around and doing it how I want!
