Haven't found much on the Swift flatbed division, anyone on here have any experience with that? How is the equipment? miles? Any info would be great, I was looking at Maverick and they are still in my mind, but I'm not big on the idea of driving an automatic so given my experience I'm limited on where I can go.

Swift has a flatbed division?
God help us all.Arkansas Frost and cabwrecker Thank this. -
Swift pays like $23 to tarp and Strap. Find a company that pays for your work.
-
Yea, I didn't know that until yesterday. Swift, might be best for my situation right now to get experience, definitely not long term -
I would really recommend you look elsewhere unless you want to bring home 300 a week. There are lots of flatbed companies that will hire new drivers out of school.
-
Yeah, they're definitely a company you only work for to get that 1st year under your belt and on your resume.
AZS Thanks this. -
Any ideas on who to call for flatbed? TMC wants experience, Maverick will take me, but like I said its automatic trucks, Werner scares me, any ideas? -
Decker Truck Line
Melton Truck Lines
Western Express flatbed
Take what you can get and then move on in 6 months. -
Well I haven't driven since 09, kept my CDL and up to date physical, but trying to back to the road without going back to school is the challenge. Swift and Maverick are the only ones that will let me come in and just do a road test and then head out with a trainer from there. Will Melton or those other companies do that? I haven't contacted Schneider yet, I guess I could give them a shot.
