Line haul rates are of concern to owner-operators.

Freight lanes depend on what your hauling. Usually just the interstates. Hauling produce from California to the East Coast would be usually I-10, I-40, I-80.

Heavy freight lanes where many interstates intersect such as Dallas/Ft. Worth, Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chicago, Atlanta, and to a lesser degree Birmingham where many steel companies are, etc. Look at a truckers road atlas.

Thank you Sir,They say the training Im in is for anyone with no experience, but I m realizing the knowledge is Important.I just don't want to look stupid doing this.Being 56 yr old,I don't have time for child's games,If you know what I mean .
But If someone is willing to teach me about being a freight agent, then It's worth doing It.

OOIDA is a good start. Check their website. It's a trucking business website.

It's designed for the owner-operator and small fleet owner. Maybe some areas on there to help you.
