Ok... so before you plan on going check into hotels or motels in the area... and check weekly rates, you may find something out side of town that is cheap enough to make driving into town for a week worth it. Get in contact with a realtor...or type in: apartment guide Abilene, I've not yet run into a "large town" that that won't get results. Usually have a list of apartments with amenities and prices... map and phone numbers.
