Hello ethos,in what states are you a trainer in?
I'm in GA and thinking about applying wit schneider bulk
What is their start pay and what is home time look like?mattbnr Thanks this. -
Well I train in whatever state they send me too. Tonight I'm in North Carolina, just depends. Start pay depends on experience and you get 6 days off a month. Start pay is no less than .35 cpm and after 6 months goes to .39 I believe but you would have to verify that.

Have you been a former driver in bulk division? how much did you make a year or how much is it possible to make a year?
-
I'm a trainer right now. In fact I have a student sitting beside me as I type. A solo first year driver should make at least 45,000. Put a couple years in and you will be over 60.

Ethos enjoy your thread. Have a few questions, I see they are looking for driver's for South Bend,In have you loaded/unloaded much in South Bend? Any info you can give me would be great. Also I live in Bremen,In would you be one of the trainer's I would possibly get? I am looking to get back into trucking because I work for an RV manufacture and it is a good company but I see thing's going on that just make me wonder how much long they we last. Plus I just miss driving and figure I would give tank's a try done flatbed otr, and dump bucket for a local guy. Thank's for any help

You are in a good area being decently close to the Gary OC. While I have not loaded around South Bend it doesn't mean we don't. Most of your Loads would come out of the Chicago area. It's a pretty good area for us, lots of freight. Trainer's are luck of the draw. I may get you and I may not, I wouldn't count on it. If bulk is something you are interested in then go for it.

Thank's for getting back to me. Otr tank driver a lot of east coast or mostly all over? Also are the trucks assigned or slip seat?
-
In theory we slip seat but that doesn't happen all that often. We do a lot of East coast and the South. But we also go all over.
