So I'm just curious. We've got a friend driving for this division, global xpress. Everyone has tall tales in this industry about how much the earn. He says oh its amazing there, $2,000 - $3,000 a week after all expenses. He sits 3-4 days a week, drives maybe 600-1500 miles. Come on, really? So tell me people, how tall is this tale?

You can go there and see if it is true.

No idea, but I thought they were day cab drivers. I've pulled a few long haul loads for them.

i hope it's not going to be too late when you know he is a recruiter not a driver

We have no interest leaving where we are at, we own our own truck and trailer. We are not down with mega carriers. Just seriously doubting this friend of ours and his stories of this income. Was hoping some of you with us xpress experience could give me the real scoop. You ever have a friend and think dude why you gotta b.s. me. So just looking to hear the facts ya know. If this was true people would be fighting for this "dream job".

if he's a o/o and working in the right division he could be right... I run solo this time of year (let the wife take 2 months off after x-mass) my net (in pocket) so far this year is $10,734 for 5,809 miles that's for ALL MILES not just loaded and I have up to 250 unpaid mt miles between loads. and I didn't leave home until 1/8/14 . most weeks in the summer running team is between $6k-$9k in pocket.

If that was true you be making over $5 a mile. We make 97% of freight we haul and we do really good. We hear xpress global pays 67%. Thats a low ###### percentage. We haul good paying military loads xpress global hauls what floor coverings?

screen shot of one load
to the truck
load pay $2010.00
fsc $143.07
total $2051.07
Maintenance Reserve -$15.60
Road Use Tax -$1.56
net pay to the truck for this one load of a real world 162 miles $2,135.91 or $13.18 per mile
that's $14.56 a loaded miles PLUS $1.036 fsc per loaded mile
the cheapest load I've pulled this year was 3.02ml and the best was $22.90ml
and no I don't do floor covering

Yeah ok, so what's the freight you haul then? What's the specialty?
