1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

When I drive, I throw myself into it. The truck is, quite literally, my home. I only require home time 1x/year, and that's for a family reunion (2 days during the first weekend of June, perhaps a little less).

As such, equipment I am comfortable in is the primary factor when it comes to selecting a company.

    What I'm looking for is:

    - APU
    - Ability to install an inverter (if one is not already on the truck, of course)
    - Nannycam is okay, but NO AUDIO RECORDING (dispatch doesn't need to hear my griping)
    - Satellite radio is a huge plus, but I'm capable of providing my own.
    - Refrigerator/microwave so eating doesn't break my wallet. A righteous refrigerator, not an electric cooler. I'm flexible on the microwave, I could use the DC-powered lunchbox oven they sell in truck stops for $30.
    - No grief about my annual home time, and ability to drive the truck bobtail during that time (reasonable mileage, of course, just around a small town)

If I can find a company that has driver-friendly equipment, the paycheck is far and away a secondary factor.

If anyone has any suggestions/recommendations, please post or PM me.

The length and dates of the home you expect might be in play.

    When and how long?

    Fair enough. :)

First week of June, long enough for a 34 hour reset.

I received travel arrangements a short time ago. It would be inappropriate to continue seeking another position.

Thanks for the post. I'm going to ask the mods to lock the thread to avoid wasting anyone else's time.
