Short answer? Yes. In this go go go society where everything is done at the blink of an eye, having to go into the TS to grab a scale ticket is really a PITA. That 10 minutes spent dealing with weighing is 10 miles further down the road that I can be. I am quite fond of the drive up scales at TA West in Ontario, and the self-checkout scales in Walcott, and this new app just made life a whole lot nicer. Too bad it uses PayPal though. I don't do PayPal.

It says that the electronic weights are not recognized as a certified weights, you still have to go inside for the hard copy. Sounds like a complete waste to me.
Is my weight certified using Weigh My Truck?
Yesbut electronic copies of weigh tickets are not recognized as certification of weight so make sure to pick up the printed ticket at the fuel desk. (Note: the Weigh My Truck app cannot be used to obtain a certified weight in California) -
Have you ever scaled at the Laredo pilot when it's really busy? I'm talking about 3 deep in the fuel island.
Or better yet, the Tullo Truckstop in Kearney, NJ where there is literally nowhere to park.
If they accepted Visa I'd do it in a heartbeat. -
The PayPal thing brought my ambitions to try this app to a screeching halt. No way those thieves are getting near my cash.
flightwatch and flood Thank this. -
I guess I am just not that impatient.
You know, the tighter we run our schedules - the more we will be pushed into tighter schedules.
Tighter, and ever tighter - until we are at the breaking point, and beyond. -
I can see this being useful in a way where you get scaled then you can check your weights without going in and finding out that your over then repeating until done right. I always have to have a hard copy but once its done on your phone its paid for.

been there done that.

For the love of God. Now we're all gonna get stuck behind some yayhoo who crawls on the scale then decides to pull his phone out all because he/she is to lazy to press a button talk to someone then walk in. Geesh.
-
My favorite there is when you need to scale and idiots who can't read "entrance only not an exit" all because (again to lazy) they don't wanna exit the correct way, but heck it's more fun to create a clusterf*** so why not?
