Good luck there mate. I left Fayetteville NC yesterday, sitting in Memphis at the moment, pulling into Arkansas tonight for orientation Tomorrow. Things sure happen fast. Keep us posted!
-
Wow, glad you got to work fast. I hope it works out for me like that. I will try to keep updating often, but the bar is set high.
Not sure what companies hire from this school or what the placement rate is but I expect it to be numerous and high.ncmickey Thanks this. -
Good luck and work hard at it. It's a great school with great instructors. Ill try to swing through there in March and say hello. My new job starts this month, but ill be back through NC every few weeks... While I was in school, a few times a week guys would swing through and say hello from previous classes. With the school right next to I95, it's convenient to stop by if cruising by and take their 30 minute break!
Any questions just ask.psycle Thanks this. -
Hi #13. Who did you go with? I am looking at Roehl and McElroy (flatbed). #21 is going with Roehl dry van. Hope all is good with you! #7.

I had an interview and was offered that job with the travelling dance competition. Sounds like a pretty cool opportunity. I leave on the 19th. They are renting me a Freightliner 10 speed...just like the truck we started in! Except about 600,000-700,000 less miles! Be home every 3-4 weeks, a lot of free time, hotel rooms and pay ain't bad once you figure in the food allowance and idle pay. Comes out better than trainee pay at least...and sounds like a lot of fun... I am going to try and get on with a tanker company when the tour is over. Talked to a couple already. Good luck with the job search!
#10 is starting with Averitt later this month. -
My step son has started over at johnston cc.Got laid off and now the state is paying for him to go there.
-
That's a nice setup. He should be graduating about the time I start. As ncmickey says, work hard and it will pay off. Although I havent set foot on the JCC campus before, I believe this to be one of the top schools available.
I had originally planed to be going to the night classes by now, but decided I didn't have that much dedication. My load would have been my reg job from 6:30-4:30 M-F and school 7-10 M-Th and 7a-6p weekends. Not to mention commute times. Factor in study time and normal chores, that left no time for sleep. Been there, and don't care to return to it. -
So it is finally in sight (well kinda). I attended the orientation class for this school last Monday. Still gotta pay, and actually go to class everyday. I forgot to ask if I can use class time to prepare for additional endorsements. If someone here can answer it that would be nice, if not I will ask when I get back. Class due to start March 3rd, provided all else goes according to plan.
ncmickey Thanks this. -
Good luck !
