alot of us are getting new dot physicals now because the regulations will ratchet up in may.
they gonna be putting barcodes on the forms and checking them on the scale and calling your approved doctor.
i done all that eat the truck stop sugar and crawl in the bunk. after a few years you got a problem. now i lift weights while riding the nordic trac and run as soon as i park the truck.
only thing i eat at the c-store is small bags of nuts and beef jerky and ONE cup of coffee black and alot of men half my age will never catch me -
Here is another case where us fatties beat a company and there are more if you search the web....
They keep these stories buried but IF more companies continue to discriminate...they will pay up.
If YOU have been discriminated against...sue the crap out of said company...by doing this we can end this new form of discrimination.

Discrimination of an overweight employee by a Big truck truckin' company is only possible
if said company employs overweight employees.
What reason(s) could a company possibly have for not hiring anyone overweight in the first place?:smt102:smt017

Lol smh... You'd think if someone got overweight, especially "morbidly obese" , to the point where they can't even get into the cab of the truck, started incurring major health problems, and racked up large medical bills would get the hint that they need to get their butts back into some reasonable shape...I guess the thought of an 80000lb behemoth hurtling out of control because of the driver having a major heart attack behind the wheel doesn't scare them?? (And yes, people it has happened) This idea that trying to prevent that scenario is somehow "tyranny" , and someone is gonna sue over it is laughable.....
where I work now, the pre-hire physical includes "ISO kinetic testing"(Google it!!) which tests to see if you are going to be prone to injuring themselves just by routine stuff like climbing in& out of trucks, pulling 5wheel/tandem slider handles, etc. Just assuming that workmans comp is automatically gonna cover you because those excess trips to the buffet table led to you not being able to climb back into your truck ain't gonna cut it anymore. -

I guess some people can't get the picture about how harmful being a "fatty" can be until they have a heart attack going down the road and that truck goes out of control and kills someone. Maybe you need to wake up and see that companies can't afford to pay out workers comp claims because someone is too out of shape to climb in& out of a truck or incurs major health problems due to not staying in shape. Just because you have requirements to meet due to the rigors of the job doesn't make it discrimination or tyranny. Unfortunately the "anti government" crowd is too rock-skulled to see that.

What about all these fat lazy officers,there should be a law against hireing them as well.Im not heavy not even close.But it is a form of discrimination denying ppl a job because they're overweight..As long as they pass the physical they should be able to work.That sleep abnea test is just another stupid law to make money for the medical profession.
