When u go to orientation do u have your own room or do u have to share with another person?
-
I had to share a room
-
Do u still work for them?looking for some realistic information from actual drivers or former driver.thanks
-
No. My back couldn't handle having to lift the tarps so I didn't make it through the weekChinatown Thanks this.
-
OK.sorry to hear that.what kind of work do u do now?
-
Your not required to touch your log book until a duty change happens. If you bring yourself down to driving at 10AM but drive until 7PM and retire for the night......maybe that line doesn't make it all the way to 7PM? I'm not OTR so I don't have to play that game but I get it for the guys that do.

I drive a septic truck now. Don't have to pull a trailer and am home every night. If I had known all this beforehand, I would have just gotten a class b license
-
Glad everything worked out for u.

well shameful to say----not. I used to leave on Sundays for a run to Texas which was 850 miles. I would start my time on the driving line and take off, 600 miles would get me into Texas and I got off the interstate before the chicken house. I could finish my run easy enough to get at least 7-8 hours sleep which is plenty of sleep. Heck who really sleeps more that that other than teen agers with no clue or responsibility. so I would just restart my date/time to reflect that I had gotten there with 10 hours off. cheating? maybe- wrong? not in my book. would I do it today---we will have to take that on a case by case basis. Did I make money? you betcha!
