Diets don't work. We need another diet like we need a hole in the head. Yes it looks ok, but of course they never tell you why you should eat certain foods. To me it's useless to give me a long list of stuff to eat. Instead you've got to get educated on nutrition in general. It's taken me years to do my studying and what works. Bottom line is that the western diet contains waaaaay too much sugar/carbs. That's what's killing us.
why on earth do you think obesity and diabetes is at epidemic levels. If you cut out all carbs and sugar in the diet, guess what, you won't be fat neither will you have diabetes. But the medical community and media sit in their hands and either give us a bunch of pills or endless lists of diets that will work a miracle. It's all a bunch of BS and I ignore it all. Do your research. Stop making excuses and eat healthy.
You just have to get motivated and above all get off those crippling meds.
Good luckSheepDog and richieryan Thank this. -
True story, we weren't designed to be eating so many man made chemically altered carbs/sugars, obesity and inflammation proves this. That book is a waste of time.Dr_Fandango44 and SheepDog Thank this.

The best food for humans, is right under our nose, in our back yard, or next door..... I am talking about natures diet for humans and animals alike... There are 1000's of plants that are made just for our consumption and we can live off of those plants. A few animals helps too...lol

The mainstream food industry is a mess. KFC, McDonalds, Tacky Bell. The list goes on. It's mostly garbage, cheap nasty stuff and then have the Gaul to charge top dollar.
i wish the truck stops would wake up and offer something radical. I haven't eaten in a TS in over 10 yrs. it's overpriced and not very imaginative.
So I guess we have to take the initiative and buy our own food. I plan where I am in any part of the US and buy at Costco, Sams or any convenient supermarket. Yeah, sometimes you've got to be creative when parking the truck, but it can be done. In the long run you will save a bunch and be healthy for it. There's absolutely no excuse for being 350-500lbs. You only have to look around any TS to see what's going on. It's a crying shame. It's all about being motivated and having pride in your appearance, especially in old age. I'm going on 61 and still have a 34" waist, and I've even got my own teeth. But it's been a struggle for me at times. My weakness right now is dark chocolate, the real bitter stuff. Yummy.
As Oscar Wilde once quoted, I can resist anything except temptation. -
