Because fuel purchased has no invoice to support the gallons for IFTA.
Also, ever hear of possession of stolen goods?

probably a smarter idea. didn't consider that. worth asking before i cheat poor ole uncle sam out of a few tax dollars281ric Thanks this.
-
which actually i don't see how it cheats even the government. tax would be paid when i scan my card and begin fueling. not like i'd be attempting to sell it at a profit. just converting fuel i pay for i to cash i can use for other things like decent food instead of living in poverty until my first check comes on the 25th

hell prob sell his fuel to his friend and it will get deducted out of his check later on. so kind of like a loanBORNtoROAM Thanks this.

Well ok I guess that is one way to do it .
It still seems like the long way around the block .
It still don't make sense to me .
Wouldn't it be easier to just take a cash advance ?
If you can't get one I would look else where to lease if it was me .
Buying company fuel would be possession of stolen goods but buying O/O fuel wouldn't be stolen .
At least from where i sit anyway .
But heck I am wrong more than right any more .
Good luck and be safe all .BORNtoROAM Thanks this. -
Basically an interest free payday loan. Problem with it is if your fuel card handles your gallons for IFTA, it adversely affects your MPG. Which also calculates into gallons purchased by state, which affects where you owe tax money. That fuel may be taxed at the pump at one price, but you're really paying for the tax at the end of the quarter at an entirely different rate. Which is affects by WHERE that fuel started from. For instance, if you bought fuel in California 'for a friend', you're then going to pay tax based on where you claimed you used it. Which means you'll get a tax break.

soo... good idea? great idea?
just kidding. i will be asking my boss for a one-time cash advance on my paycheck. he's a cool young guy, younger than me actually. so i'm betting he will go for it.
if he says no.. yall let me know if you're going to be in midland/odessa and i'll give you some $3 diesel! (just kidding) -
Thank you!

Are you in a right to work state? is so, no reason needs to be giving, just bring him in a terminate employment, if you have sold proof that hes been selling your fuel? I'd would seek legal advise on how to continue
