Hello there and I am looking for a trainer in the Pittsburgh area to train me and take me as well to the driving test. I have my permit and drove before off road in trucks with air brakes but no OTR experience and looking for someone who will take the time to train me. I have a JOB lined up already I just need to finish up my training.
I would rather train with someone one on one rather than any school any day. If you are willing please let me know as I am so ready for this being I have been unemployed now for too long!

    Thank you

ps. if I did this wrong please forgive me...

Glad to meet someone else in my class. You gonna be driving there from Covington every day or you gonna stay at the hotel?

Trucks/trailers have super singles or duals?
Onguard or any of that safety junk?
    Still governed at 66?
    APUs/Idle Policy?

Thanks guys, just poking my head around at companies.

The trainers here work for a company. To be trained by these trainers requires you work for that same company. Since you want to bypass all companies with trainers..good luck, especially since you have been unemployed for so long. A better approach might be to go to a company that trains you and employs you so you won't be unemployed anymore.

You'd have a better chance if you put this in the O/O forum. No company driver will do what you're asking. Try your local craigslist.

As far as I know, all trucks have super singles and most trailers do as well. They have inside/outside cameras and no APUs. First year the truck is governed at 62 then they raise it to 66mph. They are starting to institute a new idle policy. They do not want you to idle between, I think 10-60 degrees. Hope this helps.
