Funny story. I was so naive as a kid(ok, I still am) that when I got my license at 16 I asked the guy after the driving test about drinking and driving and way was it so bad. He gave me about a twenty minute lecture on the dangers of alcohol. And I was just wondering why every time I turned on the tv or radio they were telling me I couldn't have a cup of coffee on my way to school.

The point is, how can one logically conclude this traffic enforcement is revenue-based when literally nothing is stopping them from writing well deserved tickets all day and all night long? The average motorist exhibits difficulty maintaining their lane for 100 yards, and they'd rather cut off your arm than signal their intentions.

I dont fill my coffee cup with the thermos while driving, I do it when I pull over to pee, I dont need to drink a gallon of coffee in a hour...

How do YOU feel about this?

Kentucky Police Set Up Eating While Driving Checkpoints
thefreethoughtproject.com
Instead of preventing crime and searching for criminals Kentucky is beginning an arbitrary program of looking out for people that may be eating while they drive. This clear violation of the 4th Amendment

The best way to end the problem of distracted human beings behind wheels is to have self driving vehicles... just kidding...

Back in the 80s I'd dump my load at the landfill, stop at the hot dog place in town and grab a few Coney Dogs and a quart of Schmidt's for lunch everyday and drive home eating and drinking. Never had an incident.
You newbies missed the good times!Joetro Thanks this. -
I expect a campaign of people in Kentucky shooting pics and video of every cop they see who's cruising down the road while eating, yakking on the phone or playing with their MDTs . . .
