    I have these in my D13 like many of us by now. How long are you guys going on them before having issues? Power loss or other? Or are they not having issues and getting many miles?

    I replaced the original cooper cups 3 times in my D13/ 2008;bought the truck new in July 2007 first time after 50,000 miles was covered by warranty ; 2nd time I had problems with fuel draining back to tank and hard start, ,was about 200k miles, took it to shop and they had a recall, drilled the injector holes deeper but installed same kind of cooper cups was also covered by maintenance bulletin issued by Volvo; And finally in 2009, I had 500k miles ( team), same problems took it to Volvo in Terre Haute, IN and they informed me about Volvo recall and new steel cups; they offered a kit of 6 new injectors and steel cups installed free for trucks with lower mileage, but I had to pay the labor only because I was already about 500k miles, out of warranty; I paid about 2000$, for 6 new injectors and steel cups installed; since 2009, we drove 700k miles more, i'm at 1,230,000 miles absolutely no problems with the injectors or cups;

    I had similiar issues the copper cups, however I was lucky and had them done under full warranty. I'm having a power loss under load with the engine right now. I had a Dealer tell me I've done pretty good on these injectors and cups with 320,000 miles on them... I think that is pathetic, so thanks for your input.

    Are you sure are the cups?
    I've had power loss symptoms with this motor many times, but caused by the emission components; stuck EGR,clogged differential pressure sensor/DPF/EGR cooler/bust pressure sensors , turbo actuator malfunction. All of this can give you power problems or derate the motor;
    Last year my motor was making a strong noise, vibration, smoke no power,; I was sure something bad is gone, heads, pistons and I need inframe; I made it slowly bobtail to shop, and was the EGR stuck ;

    yes my d 13 has something similar,in pennsylvania was loosing power going up on hills with like 30,000 pound load,its was shaking -vibrating feeling, sounds like ,pounding and when you have lot of change in your hands and try shake them or like a loose clamp on a pipe sound,also in my water separator can see small bubblesaround the filter so likely is getting some false air around the seal.whe n the egr is clogged it is possible to clean it or have to be replaced?did my tune up dealer sad I have conical inj and likely steel inj cups but found 2-3 crack on my inj harness,can that cause these issues?
