A Truck was found in a valet parking area. Two hours later, Driver was Quoted as saying, I'll move it. I just made $55.00. Sad. Give me miles, or let me go.

Yes! The question is how good are you people skills and are you able to take initiative when it comes to finding freight and working with agents? But there is certainly plenty of freight to move!!

No it is horrible foreigners are undercutting all the rates with TQL (btw they are the second largest brokerage in America congrats TQL) the megas are undercutting all the rates when they have accounts that an independent can not even think about servicing, you cant go to California because of emissions, the RR's are going to put a rail head at every business and a new pete cost $150 k. Come on and join.
This was all said tongue in cheek it is what you make of it I love the overall business model of the transportation industry and I feel it will be getting a lot better in the next few years. -

Yes I have good people skills, and I know how to work a computer

He's a fleet owner and been growing his business for the last few years. For the past two and a half years I have seen threads like this and people saying no, it's terrible, it's getting worse, economy sucks... For someone not leveraged to the hilt that is willing to learn the business it can be very good. For those who can adapt it will only get better.
