(I'm 39-year-old fly-by-night. Yes, I also sweep chimneys at night!)
Never suggested that truckers risk injury from removing ice. (Who carries a tall enough ladder and has a garden rake?)
But the warehouse facility should check and remove the hazard.
Truckers should not pass vehicles unless a lane can be between them.(sarcasm) Lucky that I was not on my motorcycle.
Ice on trailer roof blows off and hits our car

That is exactly what I was going to say. There is no way I am getting up on top of an ice covered trailer.
Also You said that you were going to flash your lights to get the guy to pull over. If I were the driver I would never pull over for that. I would never pull over for some random person flashing thier lights. No matter if I am in the truck or personal vehicle. Especially at night. -
a rock from your car cracked my windshield
what do you suggest i do? -
I had a successful comprehensive claim when a truck ran over an aluminum extension ladder and launched it into the air, and it came down on top of my car on the Interstate. The fact that it was airborne allowed the claim to go through.

Not going to happen. Ever.

Yes! Tired voldumbteer.
No. I be a organist. I can safely drive, cell phone, look and breathe at the same time!.
Many can. That's why it legal in Coldorado.
No such attitude. No guarantees in life other than death.
I have had several patients who fell asleep at the wheel.
I am careful about it.
That's why I was planning to pull off the interstate and park and sleep on the on-ramp.
Yes!
Many numbers stored in cell phone voice-dial. (We have no landline telephone.)
Too polite. Actually understanding!
Actually, the vehicle is an authorized emergencyehicle. In such vehicles a cell phone can legally be used by the operator.
You should see my driving on emergency runs while shaving so my face doesn't gross-out hospital personnel - as much.
Then putting the shaver down and calling police clearing the emergencyehicle through their jurisdictions.
Is it not amazing that years ago that light bar by itself was fine but now magically is not sufficient?
Yes, some miss things in earlier posts.

You'd have no claim if the rock was on the pavement and thrown up by my tires.
Call your insurance company. -
Until someone brings a big lawsuit against the warehouse facility, trailer manufacturer, trucking company, driver, and everyonelse they think can be related to the lawsuit.
-
These two posts were most likely written by newbies who have driven for mega companies and learned that they have to pay for EVERYTHING, this is not the way it should be and drivers need to look up their rights before just bending over to take it, this is exactly what companies want, driver's who think they are responsible for any and everything instead of researching and learning the law and their rights.

Just because there isn't an immediate cure for something does not make it legal, I had to get a insurance certificate the other day so I took the time to ask my agent about this, his response "if it comes off your vehicle and does not touch the ground before hitting something else you are definitely responsible" he also noted that using the excuse that you couldn't find away to take care of it would never hold up in court, interestingly he also noted that this an on going issue, but that companies find it cheaper to pay out insurance then to come up with a cure.
