Does anybody know what the hourly trucking rate for hauling frac sand with tractor/ pneumatic trailer is?
I was told I will earn 26% of hourly gross, GP area.

depends on the company. Ive heard as low as 130/hr. Whether its true or not its a cut throat industry. Theres always someone doing it cheaper

Any one know about a company called JB Water Hauling? Any info on them?

Just got my class 1 and looking to head out to Alberta or Northern BC. I'm pretty much looking for any type of class 1 oilfield job that isn't Sanjel. I was just looking at Sanjels ads on job boards and I see them advertising a $52,000/year wage which seems kind of low for the work you're doing out there. May as well work for Challenger if that's the case.

What type of class 1 jobs give you as much OT as you can handle regularly?

I was thinking of maybe cutting my teeth first with some long haul work to get some experience under my belt but I see a lot of companies looking for drivers with no experience.

I'm itching to get to work, I'm going crazy sitting at home! :biggrin_2553:

Hey mad habber, have you read all the pages of posts here? Time well spent, I know it helped me a lot. Also don't be looking for OT, very recent posts regarding hours of service and fatigue, it's a real thing and you aren't tooling down the road in a personal vehicle, managing hours and rest and work is important! Anyway I heard a ways back that jb can be good, lots of water haulers are day rates and you are basically following a rig and on call 24/7 for one day rate, some of the others can comment more, but welcome and best of luck and be safe!

    freedom4me Thanks this.

Yea I wouldn't go for a job that's got the most hours, you need some training on the go as it's not as simple as hopping in the truck and driving out here.
