The problem is that a greedy weasel's attorneys may make an issue of it and bring everyone they can into the lawsuit.

For my POV I was given a free yellow arrow bar to direct traffic when parked at an accident scene.
    I refused it.
Someone may become confused by it or move over into another vehicle and I get blamed. Even though I would win in court, I go through the brain damage and co$ts of defending myself.

There is no need for those yellow LEDs to be so bright thathey cause after-images in ones vision.
My xenon tube strobes have a day/night switch to make them less bright at night.

One can only hope you'll get sued into non-existence for refusing to use a freely supplied traffic direction device if someone happens upon an accident scene you're at and either plows into it, or has to take evasive action too late because of the lack of warning they could have received. Perhaps they'll be confused as to which direction they should turn and instead of taking a safe detour to the right they turn to the left and plunge off an overpass, getting killed in the process. We'll all be able to watch with delight as Bob's house becomes the property of the victim's heirs because of Bob's incredibly irresponsible decision to not adequately warn and accurately direct traffic.

I work for jb hunt in Newburgh ny. We have a neighbor called mondelez international, straight trucks, they deliver ritz crackers, Oreos etc and they have a ice/snow remover device on their facility.

They afford to install this type of device per se, yet companies like jb hunt, swift Schneider simply refuse to spend the money to install this ice snow remover.

The responsibility comes down to the owner of the fleet, not the driver, that has to remove the snow on trailer roofs. Being cheap ends up being expensive to costly litigation and potential loss of life.

That yellow arrow you refused, was also DOT approved for use.
You are asking for an accident, by refusing the proper PPE to reduce accidents.

You guys are something else! And you wonder why we have such a bad reputation with the public? This is the general public section of the forum, meaning most people asking questions in here don't understand a lot of things about trucking. Mr Gift has asked some questions that seem silly to those of us who know trucking, but if you'd bothered to read some of his other stuff, you'd know he's no idiot. I see far more idiotic questions asked by supposed drivers on this forum everyday.
You could have answered his question without jumping down his throat. Geez!
