There's a sign up at the Pilot/Bosselman in Grand Island, Nebraska saying that Quaker Steak and Lube is coming soon... Looking forward to that, although I have never eaten there from looking at there website its going to be a nice change and they have a bar inside the restaurant which I don't have an complaints with... IMO all the Grandma Max restaurants have gone WAY down hill and the prices have sky rocketed... Any change is good as long as it isn't the same old Denny's, Subway, and McD's....

That's good news ... but I'm not sure a truckstop location can support that menu/business model long-term. I'll keep my other thoughts private.

I'm not against it by any means, but it seems to me a restaurant that serves alcohol inside a truck stop would be a huge liability nowadays.

You must not get west much.... Once you hit North or South Dakota, most truck stops have a watering hole to go with the video poker/slots.

There all over the place, but your typical driver never lifts their head these days.... in to the fuel counter.. over to the hot dog warmer.. back to truck... rinse and repeat.

LOL I guess so! I would most of the time go into the watering hole especially if they had food! I would sit down, drink a beer or 2 and get an actual meal. Yeah its not the 2for2.22 hotdog cheap LOL but I enjoy a beer and some good food even if it cost me 15 or 20 bucks!

I don't mind paying for good food... but the service and food in some restaurants these days make you wonder how their doors stay open.

Hahaha why they sell beer and liquor in a lot of them , just don't serve to you. The one the op is talking about , in grand island Nebraska has 2 liquor isles. Lol

And Quaker steak and lube is awsome , I stop at the on one by Cabelas every time I go through west Virginia. ..
