Also gabton, what RPM's do you cruise at? Rear end ratio? Transmission type? Those also come to play when dealing with bad mpg
Is this MPG normal? How can I increase mpg?

Thank you all for your input. I have no idea it should be stock. I looked online for the specifications: http://internationaltruck.com.au/Pdfs/9200i_specs09.pdf The RPMS is more or less 1500.
-
Every truck is specced differently its best to look at the sticker that lists the specs on the truck. I am not sure here it is on an International but on freightliners it usually under the fuse box so i would check around that area to find the specs
-
Does the truck smoke a lot? Low on power? Do you run a lot of stop to go routes?
-
I'll look for the spec sticker. It doesnt smoke alot. I'm not sure what you mean low on power. Its pretty much a lot of interstate running no stop and go. Only stop to refuel and when loading, unloading tanks.
-
By low on power i mean, does it struggle on hills?
-
The platform weight is 80,000 lbs. Not really struggling, i mean it has a bigger caterpillar engine compared to the cummins isx.
-
It depends on what type of cat engine you're running. The displacements are not really far from each other. Check the turbo area for any leaks and have your CAC (charge air cooler) checked as well. What speeds do you typically run at?
-
I do not have any boost gauge. Is it best to install one or just depend on emergency shut off if nothing is working? I also plan on installing a egt gauge. I run at the speed limit around 70mph.
-
Try running 65mph and see if that helps you out. You should install a boost gauge a pyro is also a good idea as well. You will thank yourself later when you have those gauges.
